I thought it would be fun to see what search terms were entered for people to come visit my blog. I only looked at the past thirty days and it was mostly Sword Art Online search items, which is normal. The anime has a huge following. A few Mahou Sensou as well and even one for Shibainuka-san.
Most of the search terms were normal, except this one: “he pees his pants anime.”
I’m not sure what anime here relates to that, so I thought I’d just mention five comedy animes that I enjoyed. I don’t know if they’ll make you pee your pants, but hopefully they provide you with some laughs.
1. Tonari no Seki-kun
This is one of my top animes of the year, which makes perfect sense because the manga is one of my all time favourites. Seki-kun’s antics never fail to amuse me and Yokoi’s imagination just adds on to the humour. I like both of them, so when other characters appeared I thought it would ruin the dynamic. It didn’t. In fact, it provided even more weirdness and hilarity! Especially Gotou who thinks Seki and Yokoi are in a relationship and sees all of their actions in that manner.
Every time I watch this I always have the same thought, “I wish there was someone like Seki-kun in my class.” I may not be able to do work, but every day would be an exciting one.
2. D-Frag!
Another one of my top animes of the year. Personally, I thought the synopsis sounded stupid and the promo picture seemed like this would be a harem. I even avoided the manga for these reasons. I watched it though and now I want them to make another season. Every character here is awesome and they never failed to make me not laugh!
Funny story, there was this one episode that had me laughing quite a bit. While I was out doing work, I remembered that moment and started to giggle. Thankfully, no one saw me randomly laughing. That would have been embarrassing, since I was alone and not talking to anyone. This is what D-Frag! will do to you.
3. Level E
The manga is better, but that doesn’t matter because the Baka Prince is one of the greatest trolls that I’ve ever seen. His random schemes to mess with people are hilarious. Even if you don’t want to watch the anime, pick up the manga. It’s short and will put a smile on your face….but since this is an anime list, watch the anime too. It’s good.
4. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
When you first watch the anime, the lead character is trying to hang himself. A student comes by and “tries” to save him. He ends up choking and then yells, “Were you trying to kill me!” Oh the irony! This is a great anime series filled with dark humour. The stalker scene (below) never fails to make me laugh. It’s just so absurd, but awesome in the same time.
5. Watashi ga Motenai no wa Dou Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui!
There are a lot of people who didn’t like the anime, because it’s cringe inducing, awkward, and hard to watch. I personally like it though, because it showcases a socially awkward teenager who struggles with life. There are things that I can relate to, but for the most part I like how Tomoko isn’t your typical heroine. She’s kind of a jerk. You’ll feel bad for her, but then you’ll shake your head and say, “Well, it is kind of your own fault.” Despite this, she does grow a bit. More so in the manga than the anime, but there is some growth.
So those are five comedy animes I enjoyed, maybe someday I’ll make a part two to this and include some other comedy animes. Or make another 5 something anime list. Hmmm, maybe the next list will be Five Popular Animes that I couldn’t stand. Be on the look out for that!
