I’m pretty sure Kakashi would have lost to the Pain that Jiraiya fought – Animal Realm joined by two other paths, while Jiraiya would have likely lost to Deva and Asura. Kakashi himself stated that he had a strategy, which he modified to include the backup after they arrived. I think Kakashi’s performance was the best for reasons I have stated. This is a matter of opinion though, so yeah. Dunno if we should continue on with this part. Kakashi did not need Obito’s Sharingan to exploit Tobi’s weakness. Kakashi merely needed at least one additional person, but he had two in Gai and Naruto. While they couldn’t do much offensively, they were able to use Tobi’s Kamui weakness to keep themselves safe. Kakashi’s Kamui came into play only when Kakashi found out he could cause damage because their realms were linked together.
