The relationship between Abeno & Ashiya are goals af.

My Thoughts:
When Yahiko just appeared on Abeno with his fox form surprisingly; that made me jumped a bit.

This whole entire episode made me wanted to ship Ashiya & Abeno so much but how I would ship them would be friends and their friend goals together are goal as fuck.
I love how they interact with each other.
Again with the relationship goals with Ashiya & Abeno; how much or dialouge that Ashyia’s been listening to Abeno to figure out which one was fake & real.

I would never thought that Yahiko would scare me a bit but it was the music and I would never expected him to appear on Abeno’s shoulder. I put the volume on my computer when I watch anime to like a 10 but these headphones are amp-ed af.

When they learned why Yahiko put the curse on Zenko; I was like, “Well here’s our antagonist. Finally.”

I seriously love how Ashiya & Fuzzy are unseparable even when they play hide-and-seek. Like look how cute Fuzzy is when Ashiya finds him even though it wasn’t Yahiko.

When Yahiko grows enormous; you know that shit’s gonna go down.

Verdict:
After watching this episode and I will say it again; Their relationship; Abeno & Ashiya’s are goal af and I wish I had something like that.

I like how cute & creepy Yahiko could be.

I-I just want a Fuzzy now! The relationship between Ashiya & Fuzzy are just so cute!

I hope that Zenko gets well and get that curse remove. (Your temple is huge. Well the graveyard is.)

Japan’s Pikachu Outbreak 2016! Pokémon get wet and wild in Yokohama【Photos & Four Videos】

Well, wet and adorable, anyway.

In what’s become an annual event, packs of Pikachus appeared in the city of Yokohama, located 30 minutes south of Tokyo. Honestly, the opportunity to mix and mingle with hordes of cute, huggable members of the most famous Pokémon species is already reason enough to make the trip to Yokohama’s Minato Mirai harbor district, but as an added incentive, each year of the Pikachu Outbreak has a different theme.

2015 was all about dancing, and yes, the Pikachus shook their plump bodies to the rhythms of musical accompaniment again this year. But for 2016 the organizers added a crowd-pleasing wrinkle to the event’s outdoor performances by dousing fans with water.

▼ Why are all these Pikachus wearing raincoats?

PT 2y

▼ Because of this!

PT 3y

PT 4y

▼ Pikachu even has some snazzy rain boots.

PT 5

Ordinarily, Japanese society takes fashion and grooming pretty seriously, but since east Japan was in the middle of a heat wave during the Pikachus’ visit, the crowds that gathered near the stage were more than happy to have cooling showers of water fall down on them. There were even signs designating not only the Splash Zones, but the Super Splash Zones as well.

▼ Careful! Splash Zone!

While well-prepared fans came dressed in raincoats or other plastic coverings, those watching performances at the main stage, located at the Aka Renga entertainment complex, could also purchase Pikachu T-shirts from an adjacent vendor’s tent, which even had changing rooms where soaked attendees could change into dry tops.

PT 10

PT 11

Of course, Pikachu is adorable even when he’s just walking, like in ths year’s Pikachu Parade along Yokohama’s Sakura Street.

While the Aka Renga splash shows were all-new for 2016, last year’s sailor suit Pikachu stomp crew was back again, with some aquatic tap dance tossed into the musical mix.

And while the event’s indoor performances were completely dry, they still offered a good chance to bear witness to the Pikachus’ stylishly varied fashion sense and surprisingly competent ice skating skills.

There’s no word yet as to what the theme of next year’s Pikachu Outbreak will be, but we have a hunch that no matter what the lovable Pokémon are in the mood for, they’ll be welcomed again with open arms.

▼ So hurry back!

Saki (Anime) - Schoolgirls and Mahjong

Genres: Slice of Life, Drama, Supernatural

Episodes: 25

Summary: Miyanaga Saki, a freshman at Kiyosumi high school, hates mahjong as she was essentially forced to play with her family when she was young. However, those days are over since her family has been split for years: she lives with her father while her older sister went with her mother. The two sisters’ relationship remains very strained.

One day, Saki’s childhood friend drags her to their school’s mahjong club where she encounters girls who have their eyes set on the Annual National Mahjong Team Tournament. Deciding that winning the tournament is the best way to attract the attention of her older sister, Saki chooses to join the club and to prepare for the Nagano Prefecture Tournament which will decide which schools will participate in the nationals. How will Saki resolve her mixed feelings towards mahjong?

1444_m7ti7

A picture of Saki flipping the bird. It’s Kiyosumi High School’s Mahjong Club, folks!

I watched Saki when I was a high school sophomore who knew nothing about mahjong and I still had a blast. So even if you don’t know anything about the tile game, you can still enjoy the show. In fact, you might even enjoy it more if you’re clueless because the girls within this series pulls off nearly impossible feats with both ease and poise.

Viewers have to accept that Saki is very much entwined with the supernatural, which makes sense since there’s two schools of thought when it comes to mahjong. The Occult players believe in flow; crazy things are destined to happen when the conditions are right. Most characters within Saki fall under this category. Meanwhile, Digital players think that mahjong has nothing to do with the supernatural and that it’s a game about efficiency and probability. Haramura Nodoka, who plays a lot of online mahjong, is fond of proclaiming SOA, or “Sono Occult Arimasen,” which basically means “The occult isn’t worth a hill of beans.”

As such, viewers shouldn’t be picky about what’s realistic or not. Not only do girls have mahjong powers, but no one seems to wear underwear underneath their fluttering skirts and mahjong is actually super popular within this setting. What’s also unrealistic is how many times Miyanga Saki and Haramura Nodoka say each other’s names. If you were to play a drinking game, you’d be sure to suffer from alcohol poisoning before you even finish half the episodes. Same goes for the amount of fanservice scenes.

saki-computer-backgrounds-4000x2738-id.jpg

Saki, an anime about mahjong and… maids?

The show starts off rather slow. I could thoroughly summarize the first few episodes with a few sentences each. Once the main characters start playing at the Prefecture Tournament, however, the pace picks up quite a bit. Nevertheless, some matches take longer than others and span several episodes; the captains’ match in particular goes on for five episodes. This happens because Saki isn’t just about Kiyosumi high school. Yes, they’re the main characters, but they’re fighting other high school girls with their own backstories and dreams. In this case, it works out and I appreciate learning more about their opponents, but it’s not as successful in Achiga-hen (which I will go over in more detail some other time).

The Individual Tournament mini-arc after the Prefecture Tournament is not actually shown in the manga, but Ritz apparently confirmed what happened was canon. A girl who only appeared during those episodes was also mentioned in the manga, so there’s that. I disliked how Miyanaga Saki regressed as a character during the Individuals and how plot armor makes two of the top 3 very predictable, but at least one particular character finally got her chance to shine since she secured first place.

The animation is acceptable. Some frames are a little lazy, but that’s because most of the awesome effects go to the mahjong scenes, so I imagine some sacrifices had to be made in order to keep up with the deadlines.

The OPs and EDs are very catchy. They’re still classics to this day, in my opinion.

And yes, Saki’s childhood friend, Kyoutaro, is a guy and yes, there’s guys in this series. However, the total amount of named male characters within the first season of Saki is minimal as with their on-screen presence in general (sorry, Kyou-chan).

I recommend Saki if you’re a fan of yuri. Hand-holding, blushing: almost all of the light and soft stuff happens, folks! The fanservice is rather excessive at times, however.

It’s fine if you don’t understand mahjong since the show briefly goes over the basics, but you might miss out what’s happening during the high-tension matches. Personally, this show was what pushed me to learn mahjong and I still appreciate the series all the same.

Things are about to seriously go down in this battle between hope and despair.

After waking up from an all too vivid nightmare, Naegi realize that everyone he’s with is  still alive. That can only mean someone somewhere else is dead. To try and investigate, he hooks Gekkogahara’s terminal up to the surveillance cameras. While they’re looking around, they discover Tengan’s dead body. Naegi starts to wonder if everything he’s done up till this point was completely pointless since he wasn’t able to stop the killing. However, Monaca (per her plan) is able to convince him that he just needs to remain hopeful and they will find the way out.

DRFA63But, despair lurks around every corner in this killing game.

Kirigiri and the others are investigating the dead bodies and trying to figure out any clues about the attacker that they can. While they’re conducting their search, they come across not one but two bodies. Izayoi and Kimura have both turned up dead, each with a single stab wound to the chest. It seems as though the attacker has a particular method of killing. That doesn’t seem to get them any closet to who the killer is though.

Naegi realizes that they don’t have to stick to the same rules as the original killing game, DRFA61so there may be a way for them to get out. Gekkogahara/Monaca suggests to Naegi that they try to contact outside to the future foundation. In an incredible stroke of luck, they manage to get a hold of Byakuya Togami who was another member of Naegi’s class and participated in the original killing game. Togami tells Naegi that Munakata has sent a massive army to Jabberwock Island where the Remnants of Despair are being kept. He also assures him that back up will be coming to help, including Toko Fukawa and Komaru Naegi.

This is so exciting to see. The entire original gang is getting together to begin the final showdown between hope and despair. What’s wonderful about this is the fact that even Naegi knows he can’t face this battle on his own. He wants to have all of his friends by his side to face the despair together. He’s never faced it alone and he knows there’s no reason to do it now.

DRFA64Everything is about to come to a head as everyone’s hopes ride on the survivors of the original killing game.

[Let's Talk: Anime] Shokugeki No Soma: Second Plate Episode 7

Time for the next round of the Autumn Elections.

This time, it’s going to be Ryo and Hayama against each other in a Western dish cook off. Neither one is put off by the other’s skill. Hayama tries to take the lead with his specialty with spices. But, Ryo is quick to recover and shows off his expertise with seafood. None of these parties is willing to give an inch while they each try to outdo each other.

FWSP72Each chef presents their dish to the judges. First is Hayama. As expected, his duck dish is packed full of several different spices. Each one manages to complement those previous and creates an incredible dish that the judges wouldn’t have thought possible. Right after him, Ryo presents an eel dish that seems pretty standard. Until the judges bite in to find a special filling inside the eel. It’s clear that both have incredible skills in the kitchen and they are almost completely matched in those skills.

It comes at no surprise then the vote is a tie, down to one judge.

The final judge says there’s no way she can FWSP73pick just one dish as the winner. This enrages
the audience, saying that there has to be a winner chosen because that’s the way the Autumn Elections work. However, the chairman of the school decides that, for the first time in school history, the finals will be a three-way battle between Soma, Ryo, and Hayama.

This should come as a surprise as it has been proven that these three are the strongest chefs in the competition, but it still seems a little disappointing that the final won’t be a show down between Soma and just one other competitor. He’s worked so hard to get to the finals to have it come down to him and one other person. While it is understanding there should  the best in the final competition, this seems a little anti climactic.

FWSP74That being said, it certainly seems like the finals are shaping up to be a heated battle.

IMG_20160816_215405

No lie, I am far scared of the old Magic Weaver lady thing, than anything else. I have never been so intimidated by an old woman before…well other than my grandmother. Believe you me, she can f*ck up anyone. Fiesty a** Puertorrican… But yea, I was shocked that she stuck her head inside the water. I thought she wanted to drown herself. I know this is bad, but I found myself laughing at the image of her sticking her head inside the water. That was until I started to get creeped out by her facial expression, and that weird a** thing that came up to her. I thought she was screaming from fright too! I didn’t know she was trying to do or say for that matter, but it didn’t look like she was waiting forever to talk to that Trump fish.

IMG_20160816_215702

And what egg?! So are you saying that there is an egg inside Chagum? Is it going to grow like a watermelon seed, and sprout a Trump Fish? Can it be removed? Can I touch the Trump fish afterwards? Can I call it Don? Can I squash its face afterwards? I really want to do that…I don’t know why I want to do that…but for some reason it is giving me a big a** grin.

IMG_20160816_221654

And what is going on with Tonda and Balsa? Huh? I love how he said he waited two years to talk to her, and it sucked how he ended up finding her in that condition. I was laughing so hard! If there isn’t any makeup sex, or some heated passionate argument, I would give up on them. It’s refreshing to see two of the main characters NOT be teenagers. They are grown ass adults throwing shade at each other. If someone told me that, “Oh, I am surprised that you are able to heal so fast, especially seeing as how you are old.” That wasn’t word for word, but it had the same message. She is 30! If that is considered old…then I am 5 years close to hitting my golden years. FML

IMG_20160816_221633

You’ve broke Chagum’s eye cherry (don’t know if that’s the correct term)! How does it feel to look at your first set of boobies?! Lol, I’m a girl, and I get very uncomfortable looking at boobies while I was at the gym lockers. Yet, I NEVER found myself looking back, or being pushed to the side so that I wouldn’t be caught creeping. Chagum…how was your first step into manhood back in the waring era? But as a warning Chagum…seeing your first set of boobies might lead you down a perverted path of no return!

favorite animes (so far)

Hello hello all, this is a list of my favourite animes so far. I don’t know why I spelled it like a british person, but here you go:

1   Darker Than Black. This anime was really, really impressively made and it kept me on the edge of my chair. I’m pretty sure I marathon’ed this anime in about 2 days? I’m not sure because I had watched this a while ago.

2  Parasyte. It was REALLY good to say the least…I loved “Migi” a lot and although I can’t say much about the anime because I don’t want to spoil it, it’s definitely worth watching for people that love action packed animes.

3  Accel World. This anime was surprisingly really well made…I had actually tried to watch it once and quit because the main character’s game avi was a PIG, but I rewatched it with a friend and found it to be quite interesting. Also an action/adventure/virtual world anime, so if you liked SAO, I really recommend it. Speaking of…

4  SAO, season 1. The reason why I didn’t like season 2 is because the second season seemed really irrelevant, and it seemed to have a lot of filler episodes. The first season was really awesome though, even if it IS really long.

5  The Devil is a Part Timer! THIS ANIME. I think I haven’t laughed as much in ANY anime than this one. It’s a bit of an action anime, but there is definitely a lot of humour and overall was very, very enjoyable.

6  Fullmetal Alchemist. I didn’t watch Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood first, sadly…I figured out AFTER I watched FA that the brotherhood series was better. This anime was really, really cool and I remember enjoying it a lot. Overview: It was basically about a whole bunch of alchemy and magic stuff…?

7  Your Lie In April. MY ALL TIME FAVORITE ANIME. I feel a personal connection to this anime, because as a violinist myself, I felt myself relating to both Kaori and Arima’s emotional perspectives. Emotional perspectives? I think that’s the word? It’s a really, really, REALLY well made music related anime, and I absolutely loved it.

8  Re:Zero. This anime is in progress, but oh my god it is SO good. It is actually kind of like softcore horror, but I think it represents the human motive/greed so accurately. Yeah. IF YOU HAVEN’T STARTED WATCHING PLEASE DO

I really can’t think of any more animes right now, but…this list is getting pretty long anyway so I’ll talk to you guys later. Thanks for reading, and sorry for my lack of posts lately…I haven’t had much motivation for posting :/

Love,

S.J.L

91 Days Episode 6

Review:

I really think this is going to be one of those shows where everyone ends up dead. It just keeps twisting this straight revenge story so that everyone is playing everyone else and you can just see a massive body count when we get to the end of the line. That said, this episode was really interesting. It moved quickly from Nero and Fango making a deal, to Nero negotiating with Orco, the inevitable double cross and fire-fight, and then the final sequences where it is absolutely confirmed that Fango is completely crazy (and not in a fun kind of way). I like that you never know when Avilio is playing someone or being honest (or being honest in order to play someone). There’s some clever writing and some great work with the voice acting.

I will say that this is not a sight I would ever want to wake up to though.

Sailor Moon’s bedsheets, now on sale, are the most chaste anime bedding we’ve seen in a long time

SS 1

Two-piece set is an exact match to the ones in the magical girl’s anime bedroom.

It’s hardly a secret that most anime bedding is designed with the sleepless, not the sleepy in mind. But while you can find a plethora of risqué huggy pillow covers (whether you’re actually looking for them or not), anime’s most famous magical girl takes the high road in her latest bit of merchandise.

Merchandiser Bandai has just unveiled Usagi’s Bedding Set, named after Usagi Tsukino, the ordinary schoolgirl secret identity of Sailor Moon. Instead of being plastered with images of the sailor-skirted heroine, the duvet cover bears the same bunny and crescent moon pattern as the one on Usagi’s in-anime blanket.

Usagi being the Japanese word for “rabbit” means this should technically be called “Usagi’s Bedding Set (Featuring Usagi)”

SS 2

Actually, the real-world polyester bedding set is a visual upgrade from its anime counterpart, as it replaces the plain white of anime Usagi’s pillowcase with more of the cute lunar lapine motif.

SS 3

SS 4

The duvet cover is 200 centimeters long by 150 wide (78.7 by 59.1 inches), while the pillow case fits pillows 63 centimeters in length. The set is priced at 7,020 yen (US$67), which is a bit on the pricy side, but in keeping with Usagi’s family living in the swanky Azabu Juban neighborhood of Tokyo. Domestic orders can be placed here through the Premium Bandai website, with shipping scheduled for November.

So this is the first post on this  blog and I’m actually nervous about posting, even starting this blog, because I have a feeling this blog might get lost into the pile of other things I started but never stuck to.

That being said, I think about how this blog will benefit me. I can vent and I can share and express myself. Not that reading about my day is that interesting but I’m thinking if I do it right, it might be.

I guess as long as I get to write and improve my writing and English then I fulfill some kind of purpose with this blog.

The Pokemon Go Trainer Oath (unofficial)

Pokemon Go took the world by storm. It is an app in which players use their phones to capture Pokemon using augmented reality technology and gaps while on the move. Unfortunately players got hurt physically while playing said app. And in the future the disaster might as well become worst.  I cannot say how but I – as a player myself – would like to write down an unofficial Pokemon Go Trainer Oath in attempt to help promote safety.

I ___ a Pokemon Go trainer (player) , shall respect other trainers (players)  and those around me, as well as the laws in place. I shall respect the environment and vow to promote safe conduct while playing Pokemon Go at all times without question.

On my honor.

P.S. Pokemon Go Players – please play safely and responsibly.

Please share if you wish thank you.
