Game. Team Gon.

Game. Team Gon.

Gon’s team is able to win the ball back after a bit of teamwork from Gon, Killua, and Hisoka. And with the ball in Killua’s hands, Gon hits it with enough strength to make him pass out. But, it’s enough to defeat Razor and gain the Path of Shore for the team. But, Genthru and his bomber buddies quickly learn of their success and demand a meeting. This begins a cat and mouse game between Genthru and the Tsezgerra Team, using cards to evade each other for a couple weeks while Gon and Killua train and recover. Eventually, the Tsezgerra Team leaves the game, only to find that their patron, Battera, has called off his reward. Meanwhile, Hisoka has met up with the Phantom Troupe. They have found Abengane and his Nen-eating ability. And they intend to have him use it to make Chrollo whole again.

Lots of Greed Island intricacies this time. Also a lot of training for Gon while Killua’s hands go from totally fucked to less fucked as a result of holding the ball when Gon smashed it with all his strength. And, of course, lots of signs that Genthru and company are horrible people, seeing as they are murdering anyone who could be helping the Tsezgerra Team by supplying them cards. But, that’s not the main thing that happened as far as the story goes. That would be the the story Razor tells Gon regarding his father, Ging. Of course, he doesn’t know where Ging is, but he can say that Ging is the kind of guy who would trust a death row inmate to be a Game Master on his island. I’m not sure if that makes him insane or brilliant. But, it’s nice to see that no one has forgotten the big picture, that everything Gon does is in service of one day finding his dad. And possibly punching him in the face.
