From the Gundam Wing series, Deathschythe was probably my favorite, with a funny character as it’s pilot, it’s dark shadowy appearance, and one of the first Gundam’s you see other than Heero’s.
This build was one of my first, and one of the most complicated with all it’s moving parts, and my version was a bit loose, so the wings would stay out, or it’s legs kept bending under the weight of the top half because of the wings. My suggestion if you do by him, make sure to put him ni one pose and leave him that way…
As you can see here he can fold away into his stealth format, cloaking himself as he does in the anime. The wings are very cool, but are the most annoying thing about this build.
I am more than happy with him, once he is posed and secure than he wont fall backwards due to terrible weight distribution, he looks mean and menacing and a cool piece for my collection.!
Assembly – 6/10 – tricky to follow and problematic due to many moving parts
Build Time – 8/10 didn’t take too long.
Quality – 8/10 Good but would require painting to get a nice effect.
Sturdiness- 5/10 It feels flimsy, you don’t want to move him around to much.
Overall – 7/10 – Fun but complicated build with problems of positioning and keeping stable.
