Hey all my Sayian readers, Reviewer of Steel here with the next review in my Dragon Ball Zember. In this review we look at the second in the films in World’s Strongest!
If you did not read the last review these ones will be done differently from my regular reviews, so if you did not, read Dead Zone to get a sense of how these will go and when you are done come back to this one!
Plot: Thanks to the help of the Dragon Balls, Dr. Whello has returned, and in order to take over the world with his super brain, he needs the strongest fighter! So after his minions abduct Master Roshi it is up to Goku to save him and defeat the doctors mutant monsters!
Story: Many of the stories for these movies will be like this, so it is all in how you do that idea. In this case it is not a bad idea overall as I will explain later, but overall it is just kind of dull and not as interesting as opening a portal to another world and sending demons.
Original Characters: If Garlic Jr. was good since he had good motives, but not developed, on the opposite end Dr. Whello is just awful. He is evil and takes over the world because he is an evil doctor, and that is it. We get nothing other than that.
As for his minions, this time they have gotten so much better! Not to say they have a character, but I feel that they are more defiend, even if it is just by their powers, which leads me to my next topic!
Action: As I said, the best reason this is a good idea is because we get many different kinds of fights. This movie gives us just instead of hand-to-hand combat, just much more. We have a obstacle course type battle with a character that is super fat and can take damage, to ice and electric whips, and even a space fight. Overall much better fights the Dead Zone.
Final Thoughts: I don’t have as much to say about this one other than this is just the most basic of the Dragon Ball Z movies because it is all about the fights and not really develop the character at all really. But I will say that this is longer, which would help if we could develop Dr. Whello as a villain.
Score: 3/5 – Just the most average of the Dragon Ball Z movies.
