So, it has been just over a week since I arrived in India and – considering a fair bit has happened so far –  I felt I should really get around to writing these blogs out before it gets to week four and I’m swamped with masses of posts that need to be written – resulting in what I usually do when I have too much writing to do = turning my back on the problem and going and watching an anime or QI or something.

But NO! Not this time… not yet at least (I have Jazz Baby from Throughly Modern Millie going around in my head while I write this and editing a photo of a monkey yet I’m listening to Me Party from The Muppets…. wow that’s distracting -.-)

Anyway, lets see, what’s happened? Ok, the first weekend. We left in Friday, flew with British Airways… eh -.- I don’t much like BA after that flight, the food was lousy – I know plane food is famed for being lousy – but still. The staff were SO grumpy and rather rude – again, I know they have stressful jobs, and they might have had a very long day, but still, smile for goodness sake, it’s kind of your job. And my back ACHED by the end of the nine-hour flight while flying with Virgin in a longer flight to and from The State was fine. However, my friend says that she prefers BA to Virgin so I’ll see how they are on the way back, could easily have just been a bad flight.

OH! but get this! I’m pretty sure they thought I was a child, that or they were trying to annoy me. My father was given a pastry swirl thing for dessert. What did i get? A box of raisins. RAISINS! What am I? Ten? Because I haven’t had a box of raisins since I was about that age. It’s been 13 yrs, BA! Freaking raisins -.-

Ok! Starting with a whine, great way to begin – uh huh – anyway, after the flight.

So we’re staying in Bangalore at my Aunt’s place. She has these adorable little husky-cross puppies atm, they’re about seven weeks old and i WANT one. They’re surprisingly light to pick up, even the big boy who looks tubby but really doesn’t weigh much.

(I want the one on the left but she’s been adopted ….. *looks at the photo* oh no wait a second, no she hasn’t - the middle one is the boy. the other white one, she’s such a fidget lol she’s gone)

So, besides them… nothing much honestly, I slept through most of the weekend. I really didn’t struggle with the US, here: knocked out (hence why this is such a short post). We went to a gallery. The National Gallery of Modern Art, but it’s very small. Nice but that’s all. The art they call modern is very different to the modern art found at, say, the Tate Britain – which is good because I personally dislike modern art for the most part so what they were displaying was much more to my taste. They have a fairly large photo gallery as well which is stuffed with photography from before independence. Unfortunately I know very little about India’s fight for independence and there were no explanations or descriptions to go with the hundreds of photos (other than to say who was in the photo) so they didn’t really mean anything to me. Whereas my Dad could relate and put the history to most of the photos. I could only recognise Gandhi – but then so do most people.

The gallery my dad really wants to go to has so far been closed on the day’s we’ve been in Bangalore so I have yet to be able to see, let alone, comment on the art there.

(Feels like I’m whining a lot – I apologise if I am, I’m sick atm is my only excuse lol)

This was one of my faves.

I also apologise for how bad this photo is lol

Ok, anyway, like I said, short port because I slept most of the weekend on – I’m sure, in fact i know, there’s a lot more i could have put in this post but my brain is really foggy atm so i can’t think of them. Next we traveled up to Bodh Gaya – place of enlightenment for Buddha, so that’s next – when I get around to writing it, hopefully soon lol.

Until next time

Ja ne…. *stares at keyboard*…. *really confusing looking keyboard*… yeah I can’t figure out how to get that little squiggle I usually put at the end of my sign offs so that’s not happening today.
