Hello everyone! Today is Thursday! This morning was very cold, and I just wanted to snuggle in bed with my puppy. She is so warm and cuddly. I can’t miss school, though. Attendance. >_< Can I just do my final classes online? That way I’d never have to leave my dog. I guess it’s too late to ask.
Instead of reviewing a book or a game today, I thought I’d take a look at different gatcha machines and other things! Gatcha machines are capsule machines, you know, the machines that put out toys for a quarter or something? Here, it’s about 3 dollars to get a toy. Quality toys.
First.
Behold.
The toy-pple pie.
I saw this machine and knew I must have it. I first got the Husky. The “Siberian Piroshki,” if you will.
These are all part of the long-running gatcha series, Inupan (lit. Dog Bread).
I also want this toy poo-pancake. Please. Look at the detail with the blueberries on top!!
Now I’m hungry. That sounded bad. Ahem.
Did you ever like The Little Hungry Caterpillar? No? Then this machine is not for you! An entire capsule machine dedicated to picture book author Eric Carle (who is age 85 this year, wow). I sincerely hope the author has a few of these himself.
From The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, comes a dedicated gatcha machine! This Master Sword ACTUALLY COMES OUT OF THE SHEATH. Meaning you can have fun with a teeny widdle sword fight if you get a friend who has one of their own… Or one of those plastic swords you put in drinks. Yeah. Truly, I am an imaginative genius.
Since it’s the 15th anniversary of the Ojamajo Doremi anime, Bandai is releasing lots of gatcha items for the series! These are currently the only ones of the girls, but there are also sets of the wands, and the witch taps are coming soon. In this set, I’m only missing the frog version of Majollica. I regret nothing.
Now
What you’ve all been waiting for
I found this so ridiculous that I had to take a picture. Apparently, the band is popular in Japan as well. I’ve never seen my friends with any merchandise, but I guess I’m not friends with enough 13-year old girls.
Now to get into bonuses that come with snacks and drinks and things:
For a limited time, McDonalds offered special Prism Stones to use with the Pretty Rhythm arcade game. The clothes were just recolorings of previous outfits, like the ketchup and mustard-colored dress (Delicious Dress.)
When the Hidamari Sketch OVAs were coming out, Lawson had a collaboration with some of the drinks it sold, bundling art cubes. I’m not a huge fan of HS, but these were just adorable.
Some anime decide to do “wafer” cards, where they bundle clear cards with art with cookies in special packages. I’ll be honest. I hate the wafers. They taste like crap. I have actually bought these things just for the card and packaging, and thrown away the wafers. I’m a terrible person. -_-;
As I remember, the Idolm@ster ones had calling cards in them, where you could call a phone number and get a special pre-recorded message from the character. Nice, but I hate phones. ^^;
Finally, shojo manga magazines like to bundle extras almost every month, so here’s a screen cleaner with Julietta Suzuki’s Kamisama Hajimemashita manga characters on it. It’s fashioned to look like a good luck ema (charm) for love.
I’m at school right now, and I just want to get back to my puppy and snuggle. >_< Then mix around my keychain box a bit.
