Glasslip is one confusing anime that it needs more analysis to see through the “fragments of the future” and other hidden meanings floating around the series. No superpowers, no magic (or maybe it had one), just slice of life and imaginations that are called “fragments of the future”.
But the plot is so confusing that it makes other viewers to drop it.
We are not researchers, we are viewers.
Why would we need to read between the lines in just 23 minutes per day?
Well okay, I get it, and it’s okay because the series had some very poor executions of metaphor that I myself left wondering, “Was this anime conveying something or nothing at all?”
That’s the plot for sure, but what about the characters?
The characters development are actually good compared to other slices of lives, err… those kinds of anime. Although the characters had suffered from the plot’s confusing movement, the show did its part for the character developments to be that good.
As of being made by P.A. Works, which is known for their god-tier scenery, great animation, and smooth visuals, I find it lacklustered compared to other series made previously by P.A. Works. oh and at least the soundtrack is nice and calm, like the setting itself.
So the question is: Have I enjoyed the series?
Hah! More like I have slept through the series!
just jokin’, I enjoyed a few episodes but most of the series made me “wut?”
It’s just that confusing enough, unless you’re a genius to understand every second of this anime, then you’ll somewhat enjoy the series.
Note: If you’re still persistent, then read some 3rd party forum discussions after watching Glasslip like this place
so all in all (chosen ranking is in bold)
Ranking: meh, okay, worth, great, best
Warning: You wouldn’t like the ending, ‘cuz it had nothing at all
Final Comment:
Oh but the opening song is catchy,
then again, P.A. Works sure like Provinces.
More like P.rovincial A.rea Works? (lol)
