Sidious has achieved what he has been trying to do Naruto manga 693 . Most of the things he has planned and executed himself, but he didn’t do it all alone otherwise it would be impossible.
When Sidious died, the fleet, the officers and the soldiers felt very demoralized and that hampered their combat ability. Therefore he didn’t have a “few” followers, he actually had TONS of followers.
This is the problem with the one man army concept in this manga. And we all seen plenty of times why they fail, yet Sasuke tries to do it again…Just because…Well…He’s Sasuke. :/

Differences obviously exist, like they exist are between Sasuke’s revolution and Nagato’s weapon. Still you have a lot of similarities and the ideals they share (Sasuke and Sidious).
Also and yes, Sidious did had followers something that I wanted to point out Sasuke did not. Sasuke is just some madman attacking the world to start a revolution that only he believes in. Sidious was good enough to brainwash or pay people to follow his ideals.
Well the problem with the bad guy losing in the end does not apply only to this manga . Even if he had an army to back himself with he would still lose in the end, one way or another.You know, if Sasuke manages to win this…I’d be surprised and maybe even pleased with the outcome.
But yeah…Queue the excuses of “The manga is called NARUTO not SASUKE/whoever!!” and the like. As if people didn’t get tired of the same, boring fights with a one-dimensional endings before…
