Bio/ Personality: Jibril is a Flugel, in short that means she’s basically an Angel in the No Game No Life universe. She is the “youngest and strongest” of her race which means she’s a little cocky and presents herself as better than other the races. Jibril also tends to have a sadistic side, where she seems to enjoy her role as a death machine. Who wouldn’t?
Impact on the Show: Jibril brings a mix of fan service and comedy in times where she’s presented in pseudo-pinup style. Additionally she brings humor and hijinks where you expect her to be badass but ends up being adorable instead. She’s often the center of some hilarious moments that mixes well with Shiro and Sora (the main characters). She becomes more of a side character after her introduction however remains an important part of Shiro and Sora’s plans to make humans number one.

There are times where she gives the exposition on a particular Race or background during times of conflict. Jibril uses her magic (which hasn’t been fully explored just yet) to aid Sora in his plot to win games. She is devoted to Sora and Shiro which is interesting considering how she believes herself vastly superior to all the races in the series. Jibril goes as far to address the pair as “Master” quite often. She isn’t absolutely vital to the main plot (however she does bring the plot, giggity) but she is definitely memorable and adds to the allure of No Game No Life.

Opinion:I love Jibril’s character, she’s a personal favorite so I can’t help but gush over her. She’s just so kawaii(!!!1!111oneone XD). I haven’t seen a like Jibril before. What really catches me about Jibril is the tiny things about her. She is an immortal, and generally you see immortal characters as all knowing and super powerful beings but while Jibril does show these traits she also acts very human. She laughs, she cries, she begs for Sora’s knowledge of other worlds and she even starts to become friends with her new human masters even though she claims superiority .
On the other hand sometimes Jibril lets her true Flugel nature show where she acts sadistic and violent as a contrast to her oh so sweet and kind demeanor that helps her destroy her enemies (KILL THEM WITH KINDNESS). At times she even daydreams of using her powers to remove the blight that is the lesser races. While everything is not known about her destructive race its the mystery that adds to my intrigue of her as a character.
Jibril is a mix of personality. She is sweet and sour jumbled together with an awesome design, lore and just enough mystery to keep you wanting more. Her entrance is one of the most badass and even though i’ve seen it many many times I still watch it and laugh like i’m seeing it for the first time. She’s a strong character who seeks knowledge in an almost childish way who really pulls at my own personal heartstrings. She not the best, and certainly not the center of the series and I really wouldn’t have her any other way. She is truly the best girl for any guy that likes a little psychotic, mass murdering angel in their women. What more could a guy ask for?
